They could just crank it full tilt, and test out points in the song to just turn down the volume. So just for example if they test it over a weekend and find out if they crank the song for 25 seconds they stay around 143, and then turn it off for the last 5 seconds and it drops down to 129.9. Could do the same for other classes if they really wanted to.
Not saying that's what people are guna do, but I think it would be more fun and challenging to make it where if you go over you're out. That way you gotta start off low and play catch up, or risk going over and being eliminated.
The same imaginary system as above, the person would have to practice controlling the volume to get the system to stay in a certain range. Maybe they would have to play it at half volume for 23 seconds, and then crank it the last 7 to catch up and make a really nice score.
I dunno, I'm sure either way you do it, everyone will have fun and it'll be a success. GL with the competition, and GL to all the competitors. Anxious already to see some numbers and pictures lol doesn't matter at all. anyone who doesn't practice will likely not even place. period. the guy who have been practicing will win / story. they know exactly what to play, they'll be sitting their with their shit on pause ready to go they know exactly where to pause it on the second and where the bass stops... imo bass race you need to know your system more than spl. just not very likely at all for someone who's never done it to win. they'd have to have one hell of an understanding of it at the least...

I'm sure Jeff will post official results/pics as soon as he gets a chance. Lets just say that records were broken, and there were a few suprises.... but all in all it was a great sound-off. Thanks everyone for turning out and keeping the interest in our sport up here on the BI.

hawaiianmaxx wrote: PLURAL??? same one, broken twice, actually. And I'm sure you could count the "Single 8" class as well, although it probably shouldn't, since it's not *really* a class yet. But now I've said too much. I'll let Jeff elaborate. Hey, let's all PM him at once and freeze his inbox!
